Biddeford, California
The history of Biddeford dates back to the frontier days of the "Gold Rush", and was founded by Mr. Henry Biddeford after he concluded that the area was a perfect place for an economy to flourish. The King's Bay was abundant in sea life that could provide jobs as well as trade, the fresh water of the channel caused for very fertile farming lands, and a small mountain range to the north of the town provided them with coal and other important ores. What Biddeford found was a diamond in the rough, and as a result the area never fell victim to the fate of a ghost town.
